The "Ladder Concept" is a vertical and horizontal practice philosophy that allows patients to be guided through complex treatments available in cosmetic surgery. Patients may enter treatment at any level; from the bottom of the ladder, patients may be using skin creams that are applied at home, or nutritional guidance; or they may continue to the top rung, which is surgery. Since treatment is individualized, some patients who may need a higher level of treatment may not be ready for an invasive procedure. They can enter at a lower level and obtain treatments that will improve the problem with no down time. This concept allows patients to see the big picture and obtain an overview of their options.
