Mohs Reconstruction

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Mohs surgery here in Rochester, New York, has become the method of choice for ensuring that skin cancers involving the face are completely excised while still creating minimal disturbance in the surrounding tissue. This technique is preferred when dealing with delicate features of the face, especially the lips, nose, eyes, and ears. At the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery, Dr. Heather Lee and Dr. Alex Montague perform Mohs reconstruction to offer Rochester patients restored form and function to the head and neck after a lesion has been removed by a Mohs surgeon. Entrusting your Mohs reconstruction to a facial plastic surgeon ensures the most aesthetically pleasing repair with optimal restoration of function.

Ideal Candidates for Mohs Reconstruction

Patients who have received confirmation from their Mohs surgeon that the skin cancer has successfully been removed are candidates for this surgery. Your appointment at the Quatela Center will be scheduled at your consultation with your dermatologist.
