Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers such as Restylane® and JUVÉDERM® offer our clients in Rochester, NY a variety of improvements such as softening wrinkles, restoring volume to the cheeks, and sculpting the lips. The results from these simple treatments are instant and no downtime is needed, so it's no surprise they are among the most popular nonsurgical treatments we offer.

Dermal Fillers

Restylane®

Restylane contains hyaluronic acid and is excellent for facial rejuvenation and lip augmentation. Its results are immediate and last about 6 months. Hyaluronic acid increasingly binds to the body’s water, making it natural and thus requiring no pre‐testing. We offer Restylane L, Restylane Contour, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne.

JUVÉDERM®

JUVÉDERM is a hyaluronic acid‐based gel that is completely safe to use. It is FDA approved as biocompatible, for hyaluronic acid is already present in the human body as a source of skin’s fullness and volume. In fact, it is the first hyaluronic acid filler approved by the FDA as safe for skin containing any amount of melanin (color). We offer Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus, Voluma, Vobella, Volux and Vollure.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA®

Are you looking for a more youthful, fuller look in the cheek area?
Introducing VOLUMA, the first and only FDA‐approved filler to correct age‐related volume loss in the mid‐face. VOLUMA is made with a modified hyaluronic acid, derived from a naturally occurring complex sugar. As we age, the curves of our cheeks begin to lose volume, causing them to sag and appear sunken. VOLUMA works instantly to help restore your cheek contour with a subtle lift. With optimal treatment, natural‐looking results last up to 2 years. A pivotal study concluded: “VYC-20L (JUVÉDERM VOLUMA) is safe and effective for age-related midface volume deficit, with correction lasting up to 2 years.”1

RADIESSE®

RADIESSE is a filler gel containing calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres, and it is ideal for wrinkles around the eyes, nose, and mouth. It is approved by the FDA and produces safe, immediate results with no pre‐testing necessary. RADIESSE promotes the body’s natural collagen production, each treatment usually lasting a year or longer. Those taking aspirin or other blood thinners are advised to consult a physician prior to the procedure, for such medications may worsen bleeding or bruising at the injection site. Mild bruising, redness, and swelling, however, are normal and common side effects. Avoiding makeup, sunlight, and excessive contact and movement of the injection site is advisable for 24 hours following injection. Also, no recovery time is necessary after a RADIESSE treatment.

Sculptra® Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA approved and is made of biocompatible and biodegradable poly‐L‐lactic acid. Results appear gradually since treatment involves 3 injection procedures over a few months, and they can last up to 2 years. A clinical study found: “Injectable poly-l-lactic acid-treated subjects maintained improvements for up to 25 months after treatment.”2 The poly‐L‐lactic acid replenishes collagen that has worn away due to age, slowly producing long‐term skin elasticity and smoothness. Temporary side effects at the injection site include bleeding, itching, bruising, tenderness, discomfort, redness, and mild to moderate bumps. Side effects generally disappear shortly without the need for treatment. Those with allergies to any Sculptra ingredient or with susceptibility to keloid or hypertrophic scars should avoid Sculptra. Areas of infected or inflamed skin should also avoid injection.

Fat Injections

If you’re interested in a natural alternative to fillers, consider fat injections. These treatments use your own purified fat, taken from another area of the body such as the abdomen or a double chin, to replace lost facial volume, enhance the lips, and more.
