Buttock augmentation is designed to enhance the size of the buttocks. Buttock augmentation can be done by using silicone implants or fat from a person's body, known as fat transfer. Patients who desire buttocks augmentation generally lack fat in this area, or are unable to develop proportionate gluteal muscles.
Micro Fat Grafting is one of the best ways to add fullness to almost any shape buttock to create the desired look. Butt augmentation can add fullness to any part of the buttocks, or even the entire buttocks. You must have enough extra fat available in other areas of the body to be removed and used in the fat grafting process. This excess will be removed with very gentle, low-vacuum liposuction using a special cannula (thin tube) to protect the living fat cells. The fat particles are purified, and then inserted into the layers of tissue in the buttocks thru a single 1/16" incision, putting tiny droplets throughout the tissues so each fat cell will have a good blood supply.

PRE-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS:
BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION WITH IMPLANTS
Buttock augmentation with solid silicone implants can be performed in several ways. The implant has various shapes and can be placed subfascially, intra-muscularly and sub-muscularly. Location and shape will be determined with Dr. Koenig depending upon the size desired and soft tissue characteristics. Post operative butt augmentation care and complications are similar.
THREE WEEKS BEFORE BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION SURGERY:
- Laboratory and EKG (if they are required) must be done. If you are having your preoperative testing at a lab other than the one we suggested, you are responsible for having the written results of this testing arrive at our office one full week before surgery (our fax number is 585-271-4786).
- BUTT AUGMENTATION SURGERY WILL NEED TO BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT.
- All fees are due, including surgical, facility and anesthesia.

- Refrain from all nicotine products, including cigarettes, pipe tobacco, chew or Nicotine patch. Nicotine interferes with healthy circulation and may affect the result of your buttock augmentation surgery. It also places you at higher risk of complication when receiving anesthesia.

- Do not drink alcohol for 1 week before and after butt augmentation surgery.
- Please ensure that all laboratory tests and/or blood work has been completed by this time as ordered by the plastic surgeon/nurse practitioner. Our fax number is 585-271-4786.
