Lipo-Dissolve Fat Removal
Lipodissolve Rochester NY, Lipodissolve Provider Rochester New York

LIPODISSOLVE® injections describe a nonsurgical medical procedure for localized fat reduction, cellulite treatment and skin retraction. The concept of fat reduction using micro-injections was initially discovered in Italy in early 1980's. The older therapy has been greatly improved by ASAL and faculty since 2001 as a replacement to minor surgical lipoplasty procedures. Lipodissolve was officially introduced to medical professionals in the United States in 2004 .

Lipo dissolve includes the use of a mild combination of medications to dissolve the fat in localized areas of the body or face. LIPODISSOLVE® is a gentle and gradual procedure aimed to provide cosmetic results in only 1-4 treatment sessions without the use of toxic medications. Dr Koenig began using lipodissolve in October, 2004 and he has a good understanding of its indications and which patients will be benefite from it.

Lipodissolve is supported by clinical research studies in Europe and the USA. Studies from 2003 noted a failure rate of less than 4% within four lipodissolve sessions and this was reduce to less than 1% in 2004. 72.41% of patients had satisfactory results in only two lipo-dissolve sessions.

LIPODISSOLVE® is suitable for small to medium fat deposits for patients, preferrably, with soft or 'liquidy' fat constitution. Lipodissolve has limited cosmetic results on large volumes of fat and is not a suitable therapy on obese body types. Lipodissolve cannot be used as a weight loss therapy and often shows insignificant reduction in actual weight even if a patient shows considerable losses in inches around the waistline. Lipodissolve may also show poor or no results on candidates with metabolic or thyroid disorders, on fat combined with binding tissue, or certain candidates with generic fat deposits. As with any cosmetic treatment, whether surgical or nonsurgical, a proper pre-evaluation is essential when selecting the right candidate for a lipodissolve treatment. LIPODISSOLVE® is extremely promising from a safety aspect. As of 2005 with thousands of lipodissolve procedures there have been no reports of adverse complications, permanent or life-threatening side-effects from the therapy. Studies and continued monitoring of lipodissolve effects supports a stable safety data of this procedure and long-term studies are needed. Rare, but possible risks of lipodissolve can include adverse allergic reactions against the medications used. Lipodissolve is not an approved therapy by the FDA.
