Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery's Blog

Day 3: I woke up feeling great because I had a good night’s sleep.  I did wake myself up on a few occasions with a dry mouth.  I just drank some water and went back to bed without any issues.  I can certainly feel more pressure in my face today but nothing that bad.  My biggest complaint would be that my front teeth are numb and I have some slight pain on my top row of teeth.  On a scale of 1 to 10, I would call it a 2.  It’s more annoying than painful. My bruising has dropped a … Continue reading

When researching a procedure or treatment, one of the most comforting pieces of information that you can find is a candid, real experience from someone who has been through it.  Lauren recently had a rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Quatela and wanted to share what the experience was like for her so that people who are thinking about rhinoplasty surgery can have a better idea of the overall experience.  Each patient’s results, experience, and recovery process are individual to their specific situation, however hearing from others on their journey is a valuable piece of the process.  Join us over the course … Continue reading

11 Things You Need to Know about Breast Lift Surgery

Written by one of our plastic surgeons specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and body contouring procedures I was doing some research online about breast lift surgery and came across some blogs written about the procedure.  One blog in particular stuck out – the OC Mom Blog about a “Girlfriends Guide to a Breast Lift.”  The misinformation in this article was astounding.  As a plastic surgeon, I was dismayed at the falsehoods that are being purported as truths.  And this wasn’t the only one.  I actually laughed out loud (yes, did a true LOL!) at some of the information … Continue reading
