Here is a brief overview of the mini facelift procedure:

Weekend Facelift: Commonly referred to as the mini facelift, this surgical procedure is able to target isolated problem areas for an individual who has experienced slight to moderate signs of aging. The weekend facelift usually requires the use of only local anesthesia and shorter incisions. During the procedure, small amounts of skin are removed with minimal mobilization of the surrounding skin which results in a tightening of the facial skin and a return to normal activity in a matter of days. The Mini-facelift is not for those who are looking to obtain dramatic results, but rather, for those who desire a subtle change and a refreshed look. Patients can expect to have a short healing period, minimal scarring and reduced cost compared to a traditional facelift. By comparison, in a traditional facelift, a large portion of the patient's skin and underlying tissue is lifted and repositioned into a more youthful location. This results in a dramatic improvement which is long lasting.
